Australian agency looking for two-factor solution

The Australian Bureau of Statistics is searching for a two-factor authentication product, according to a Computerworld report. The bureau’s current authentication method is not suitable for remote access because it is vulnerable to key logger attacks that enables a hacker to impersonate an employee without being detected.
The bureau is looking for a physical devices, such as a smart card or token. The product would have support authentication with a range of devices, the Microsoft Smart Card Minidriver Specification and FIPS 201 standard and DSD Australasian Information Security Evaluation Program (AISEP) certification.
The agency may also consider governing physical and logical access control systems into one credential as well, the article states.
