MaxID has announced that the OMNICheck product from Codebench Inc. has met all requirements and satisfactorily completed Immigration Customs Enforcement certification requirements on the MaxID iDL500 handheld multi-modal TWIC reader.
OMNICheck is a mobile validation software application that verifies PIV, TWIC, FRAC, and CAC credentials over the reader’s contact or contactless interface. When configured in one of the four TWIC authentication modes, it functions as a TSA ICE-listed mobile TWIC reader.
When operating in “Non-TWIC” mode, OMNICheck determines the card type and applies the strictest possible validation rules for that card’s data model and the interface mode, either contact or contactless. For instance, if a legacy Defense Department Common Access Card is presented on the contact interface, the cardholder is prompted for a PIN which unlocks more data elements than if the same card were presented to the reader’s contactless interface.
The iDL500is a multi-modal, rugged mobile computer that offers a complete set of features including QWERTY keyboard, contact card, contactless card, bar code, optical fingerprint, and optional magnetic swipe and MRZ readers with a digital camera, GPS, and comprehensive communications capabilities. The iDL500 is a complete, integrated mobile solution for all badging and identity management requirements.
