Bioscrypt’s minutiae-matching fingerprint technology has gained NIST certification for use by the U.S. in its Personal Identity Verification system. The certification followed extensive valuation of 14 providers of minutiae-based fingerprint template generating and matching algorithms. Of those, only six qualified for template matching and eight for template generation. Bioscrypt qualified for both.
